I am an artist living in N.E. Portland. My work reflects a curiosity for weathered objects and environments. I am inspired by the process of finding and transforming tins and other weathered materials into two-dimensional art.

Throughout my creative practice I have collected worn, rusted materials to celebrate the beauty in decay. I hand-cut old tin and other metal treasures, then hammer small nails into wood to assemble metal collage.

The physicality of the process is reflected in the heartiness of each composition. I construct hints of memory in each piece offering a new narrative for the materials I find. Working intuitively, I compose materials to sanctify the lasting and longing relationship we have with the our natural and manmade surroundings.

  • Each piece is unique to the materials I find.

  • Using tin snips I hand- cut vintage tins into shapes that guide the direction of the work.
